About the role

This role oversees all engineering activities within the Latam Region, ensuring the efficient delivery of the regional supply capital investment plan, development of capital masterplans, compliance with standards, project review, governance, and ad-hoc support. The position requires strategic leadership, risk management, fostering a safety culture, and close collaboration with factories to execute capital plans seamlessly. It aims to align project success with industrial execution, ensuring solutions meet or exceed requirements.

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership: Define vision and strategy for engineering capital projects; align with business objectives.
2. Capital Project Management: Establish management systems, monitor KPIs, drive continuous improvement, ensure vertical startup of new assets.
3. Governance & Reporting: Ensure governance compliance, attend project steercos, facilitate reporting.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, production, quality, R&D, external stakeholders, and vendors.
5. Risk Management: Conduct project reviews, develop mitigation strategies, ensure regulatory compliance.
6. Training & Safety: Provide training, foster safety culture, lead incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
7. Team Development: Mentor managers and teams, promote continuous improvement and collaboration.

Key contacts include Regional Supply Directors, Site Directors, Operational Managers, and global teams across quality, safety, technology engineering, supply excellence, and FM Global. The goal is to align priorities, resource allocation, and timelines across functions.

Experience required

Essential: Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, leadership experience in engineering within CPG, successful implementation of engineering capital programs, vertical startup experience, knowledge of regulations and best practices, excellent leadership and communication skills, high proficiency in English.

Desirable: Regional engineering experience in CPG, multinational and cross-cultural team management, Master's degree, willingness to travel, Spanish language skills for LATAM connectivity.
