Position: General Manager – Latin America
The General Manager – Latin America is responsible for the leadership, planning, development, and oversight of all commercial activities to ensure region revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction goals are met. The primary responsibility is to develop and lead a team of Regional Sales Managers to achieve revenue targets while selling a premium product line in a complex selling environment. The General Manager will oversee and manage key performance metrics including funnel management, value selling, and long-range planning. Operating within a matrix organization, the role requires strategic leadership across various functions to ensure organizational success.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Meet or exceed growth plans in Latin America for new and existing business accounts.
- Lead and develop the performance of the commercial organization in Latin America, including coaching and professional development.
- Create and implement strategies based on sales data analytics and market insights.
- Utilize market dynamics for developing and closing sales with hospitals, labs, and health systems.
- Drive physician demand and adoption of diagnostic methods.
- Negotiate contracts with hospitals and health systems.
- Analyze and prescribe strategic business solutions to meet sales targets.
- Coordinate with key customers and internal/external stakeholders to expand business opportunities.
Training Responsibilities:
- Complete all assigned training satisfactorily and on time.
- Ensure associates attend and complete required training.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience or Master’s/Doctoral degree with 12+ years of experience.
- At least 4 years managing people.
- Expertise in selling premium products.
- Proven success in capital equipment and reagent sales.
- Experience with CRM applications like Salesforce.
- Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
Travel and Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel 40% of the time.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with DBS Growth Tool or similar is a plus.
