Position: General Manager – Latin America

The General Manager – Latin America is responsible for leading, planning, developing, and overseeing all commercial activities to ensure regional revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction goals are met. The primary responsibility is to develop and lead a team of Regional Sales Managers to achieve revenue targets while selling a premium product line in a complex selling environment. The role includes overseeing key performance metrics such as funnel management, value selling, and long-range planning. The General Manager will operate within a matrix organization, providing strategic leadership across various functions to ensure organizational success.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet or exceed growth plans for Latin America in new and existing business accounts.
  • Manage overall performance of the commercial organization, including coaching, development, and feedback.
  • Develop and implement strategies based on sales data analytics and market insights.
  • Utilize market dynamics to develop and close sales in hospitals, labs, and health systems.
  • Drive physician demand and adoption of new diagnostic methods.
  • Negotiate contracts with hospitals and health systems.
  • Analyze and prescribe strategic business solutions to meet sales targets.
  • Coordinate with key customers and stakeholders to expand business opportunities.

Training Responsibilities:

  • Complete all required training satisfactorily and on time.
  • For managers, ensure associates attend and complete all training.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience or Master’s/Doctoral degree with 12+ years.
  • At least 4 years managing people.
  • Experience selling premium products.
  • Proven success in capital equipment and reagent sales.
  • Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce.com.
  • Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.

Travel & Other Requirements:

  • Ability to travel 40% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with DBS Growth Tool or similar is a plus.
