The role of the Partnership Manager (PM) – Brazil is to support the development and management of the partnerships in market. You will have an inherent understanding of partnership marketing strategy and will support the delivery of partnerships from the idea generation, through to negotiation, securing final agreements, delivering signed contracts and leveraging the ongoing relationship with the partner for the benefit of the Group.
You will be working within a global team to build partnerships and source deals with retailers, restaurants, spas and other services in airports to support our Airport Experience programs (including Priority Pass, our premium lifestyle brand and the world’s largest airport lounge access program) as well as other Group opportunities.
You will be expected to understand the Group’s businesses and competitive marketplace, identifying new opportunities to deliver successful, best in class partnerships to support other Group opportunities as required.
The role will primarily be focused on Brazil market.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning & Executing Partnerships Strategy within Market
- Generating ideas for partnerships and partners
- Initiate outbound contact by telephone and email
- Sell in the proposition
- Contracting
- Deliver signed contracts
- Activation
- Ensure partner staff are trained
- Test, end to end, all partnership processes and customer touchpoints pre-launch
- Management
- Engagement with partner to ensure KPIs of partnership are met
- Work with partner to resolve any issues
- Leverage the partnership to create greater value for the partner, our clients and the Group
- Network Management
- Increase the size and quality of our Partnership Network, ensuring exclusive terms
- Strengthen current relationships with partners
- Develop new relationships with partners
- Market Awareness
- Regularly investigate and report on competitive landscape and new trends
- Obtain and share market insight
- Group support
- Liaise with other key Group stakeholders to provide support to Group clients
- Support the development of new product bundles
Knowledge, skills and experience required
- 5+ years in an account/ supplier management experience ideally in a commercial role
- Must demonstrate strong negotiation and commercial experience in last 2 roles
- A previous role within travel and/or airport retail sectors desired
- Track record of introducing new products/partnerships on budget and on time
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
- Must be multi-lingual with fluent written and spoken Portuguese and English
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Key account management techniques and practices
- Strong problem solving skills including ability to network internally to leverage colleagues’ knowledge, skills and cooperation to address and solve open customer issues
- Seeks to collaborate with regional and global teams.
- Demonstrable skills in communications at all levels (including face to face, via phone and in writing), both in partner-facing and internal environments, including an adaptive and flexible style that facilitates strong relationship development with senior executives, managers, supervisors and staff
- Understanding of and ability to adapt to differing cultural norms and approaches to doing business across Brazil
